Offices that Work: Staying motivated?
Hello, it is Monday afternoon as I write this blog post. Monday’s are fresh and bold. They make a statement about the week and offer a chance for new inspiration to perform better. Staying motivated is easy for me at the beginning of the week. As the week moves on, emails continue to pop up, and the task list is not shrinking … my motivation turns south towards frustration.

Staying Motivated - Farm Wall Art
Staying motivated is as easy as providing a few visual cues. Add an inspiration board highlighting your business goals. Paint wall colors to bring out your brand personality. Consider framing successful marketing materials. Visual cues have the power of persuasion by reminding you of your big why in life. They can bring joy and happiness to your tasks by consistently bringing you back to a single focus.
I have a big dream of buying a small farm in western Montana once my business meets a certain level of maturity. I visualize adding cats, ducks, chickens, bunnies, a lamb, couple of horses, and a cow to my existing pet population of one, Maple Shugar. This farm is every day motivation to move forward with my business goals. As soon as I walk through the door to my office there are visual cues reminding me of this dream. Several pieces of wall art, flower pots in the shape of farm animals, and a canvas indicating my business maturity date.

View your office through a different set of lenses:
- Look around at the space you are sitting in right now. What do you see that motivates you daily?
- Take photos of your workspaces. If featured in a popular magazine, would you be inspired?
How are you staying motivated in your business?
Cheers to inspiring spaces!
